Dr. Erik Palmberg provides routine and surgical tooth extractions to remove damaged teeth from your mouth and help you begin the process of regaining a healthy smile. While our goal is to help you avoid needing to have a tooth removed, it may occasionally be necessary to extract a tooth in order to return your smile to full health and function. Our dentist will typically recommend tooth extractions when:

• Your tooth has a severe infection and much of the tooth and supporting bone have been destroyed
• Your tooth has significant decay and is damaged beyond the point where it can be successfully restored
• Your teeth are overcrowded and cannot fit properly or erupt properly in your mouth

Dr. Palmberg will carefully examine your teeth and mouth to determine if a tooth extraction is the right option for you. When removing your tooth, he will take great care to be as gentle as possible. We will provide you with a local anesthetic or with other sedation options to ensure your comfort during your procedure. After your tooth has been removed, we will provide detailed post-op instructions to help you heal and recover.
